Recipient of the Best Director prize at the AFTRS graduation in 2006, Samantha’s short films have picked up major awards and screened at over twenty international festivals, among them Tampere, Clermont-Ferrand and most recently the Cinema des Antipodes at the Cannes Film Festival. Notably her documentary 'Butterfly Man' garnered the prestigious Golden Cub Award at the International Documentary Festival (IDFA). Her work has screened regularly on SBS, ABC as well as international television and Qantas Inflight.
